Arabic perfume packaging can be elaborate, but authenticity cannot be confirmed by one visual detail alone. Boxes, stickers, codes, batch markings and finishes can change between production runs. The best assessment considers the whole product and, above all, where it was purchased.

Start with the seller and traceability

Buying from an identifiable retailer with clear policies, invoicing and customer support is more meaningful than relying on a single “trick” found online. Internet photographs may show a different batch, market or updated packaging.

Important

A batch code or packaging detail that differs from an old photograph does not by itself prove that a perfume is counterfeit.

What can you check?

  • Overall print and packaging quality.
  • Consistency between box, bottle and product identification.
  • Batch code or other markings when applicable.
  • Condition of seals, atomiser, cap and bottle.
  • Manufacturer or distributor information when present.

Does a colour change mean there is a problem?

Not necessarily. Fragrances containing vanilla, resins and certain aromatic materials can darken slightly over time. Exposure to light and heat can also accelerate colour changes. A colour difference should always be considered in context.

Where should perfume be stored?

Cool location

Avoid places that become very hot during the day. Stable temperatures are preferable.

Away from direct light

Sunlight and strong light can accelerate changes to the fragrance and its colour.

Avoid excess humidity

Bathrooms are convenient, but repeated heat and humidity changes are not ideal.

Keep it closed

Replace the cap and avoid unnecessary handling of the atomiser.

Should perfume be refrigerated?

Usually no. An interior cupboard away from windows and heat sources is generally enough. Extreme temperature changes are also undesirable.

What about after opening?

A perfume does not automatically go bad once opened. Bottles are designed for normal use. The most important factors are avoiding heat, direct light and poor storage conditions.

When should you contact the retailer?

If a bottle arrives damaged, leaking, with a defective atomiser or something objectively abnormal, photograph the packaging, bottle and relevant markings before discarding the box.
